Guess who’s back where it all started?
방탄소년단 (BTS) has officially returned to the City of Angels, wrapping up their massive North American tour in style with the ‘ARIRANG’ World Tour at SoFi Stadium! From hand-delivering flyers on the streets back in their rookie days to selling out stadiums 12 years later, the journey has been nothing short of legendary.

Here is everything you need to know about the historic LA takeover:
- ‘BTS Week’ is Officially Declared! To celebrate their return, the City of Los Angeles officially proclaimed September 1–8 as ‘BTS Week’, lighting up City Hall in stunning red (the signature color of their 5th studio album, ARIRANG). Mayor Karen Bass and local officials rolled out the red carpet, honoring the group’s massive cultural impact and their deep roots in the city.
- Where ARIRANG Was Born LA isn’t just another tour stop for the guys—it’s home base. Right after completing their military service, all the members flew straight to LA to host a massive song-writing camp. They locked themselves in a studio and churned out around 300 tracks, 14 of which made it onto the ARIRANG album. Talk about full circle!
- 70,000 ARMYs & Pure Magic at SoFi On September 1, roughly 70,000 hyped-up ARMYs flooded SoFi Stadium for the first night of their 4-day LA run (Sept 1–2 & 5–6)—marking their first time back at the venue in 4 years and 9 months! From dedicated fans making custom Jungkook birthday outfits to multi-generational ARMYs rocking hilarious signs (shoutout to the grandma who joked about Grammy snubs!), the stadium was pure energy. When “Arirang” echoed through the venue, fans were softly singing along in absolute unison.

From humble beginnings handing out promo flyers on the street to painting the LA skyline red, BTS continues to prove why they run the world.
